41 Weeks Old

Our little angel is now 41 weeks old and has officially been out living in the world longer than she was carried in my womb... wow, how the time has flown!  This week started out wonderful and then ended with our poor baby throwing up and having diarrhea, which meant another visit to the Dr... Below is our girl feeling not so wonderful and then her in much better spirits.  That just gives you an idea of how her mood had changed over the last couple days.  Happy she is happy again :)
Peek-a-boo
When we went to the doctor, fortunately it seems that what has been causing all of her sickness is a result of her congestion and fluids draining due to two ear infections.  I say fortunately because one of her friends actually picked up the Norovirus, which is very contagious and we thought that's what it may have been.  And, yes, she must get these ear infections from her daddy because I never had an ear infection and this now marks 4 for our sweet girl.  Since being on antibiotics, she is already starting to act much more like herself and is starting to look much better too.  She actually has lost about half a pound which doesn't seem like a lot, but for a tiny baby, you can see the loss in her face especially... she had also gotten pretty pale, but like I said, in a matter of 24hrs, she's already started to look much better and is eating great!  Per doctors orders, she had to remain home from school yesterday, but thankfully my mom was able to take the day off to watch her for us; so Garrett and I could go into work.  She did great and I really think she enjoyed spending that extra time with Nana, as much as Nana enjoyed spending the time with her.  Thank you again mama!!
Lounging/Loving with Nana :)
So happy with Nana!
On to the earlier part of the week.  This weekend we went to Andrew's 1st birthday celebration and had a lot of fun there!  It was great getting to catch up with my friends and for Grace to be able to have some fun too!  Unfortunately I didn't have my camera, but maybe I will be able to get some pictures in the future from Torie... she even had a little mustache photo booth for everyone... Grace loved the mustache, LOL.  Happy Birthday sweet Andrew!!

We also had a play-date with little miss Addie.  Alex, Addy, Grace, and I played inside while the boys went outside shooting.  I even got to sneak out to shoot a few rounds.  We had a wonderful time with them over.  It is so great now that both of the girls can interact more and actually move around together.  They were very sweet together and I do believe they had a great time together.  Grace is even learning how to share and kept trying to "share" her pacifier with Addy and Addy would actually try to take it (mind you, she doesn't even use a pacifier).  These girls are too funny!!
Here's to a wonderful week my friends and family.  God Bless you all!!!
Finally... two pictures of my two loves!!

40 Weeks Old

Can't believe this little bit is already 40 weeks old.  Thursday (1/24/13) evening, she will have been out longer than she was in... seems like her being here has gone much faster than the pregnancy!!  Maybe it is just because of the anxiousness and anticipation of her arrival that made it feel longer :)  This nine-month old makes Garrett and I happier than no other!
At her 9-month appointment last week, she came in at 17lbs 4oz and 27.5" long.  This puts her in the 25th% for weight and 50th% for height, which the doctor said is fine.  He'd much rather her be on the smaller side than the overweight side... not to mention, Garrett and I have never been large.  Needless to say, all looked great, no ear infections, lungs sound much better and more clear... she is looking good and doing well!
This last Friday Grace actually spent her first night away from home and away from mommy and daddy.  Nana and Papi watched her while Garrett and I took a much needed evening to ourselves.  Thanks mama and daddy!!  I was nervous about spending a night away from her, but she did great and surprisingly we did great also, lol.  Also this weekend, we had a girls day (Nana, Grace, and I) while Garrett had a guys day with a couple buddies, shooting guns.  Us gals went to get massages... Grace was so well-behaved for us while my mom and I took our turns and then afterwards we went to pick up my mom and dad's new pup, Monkey.  He is adorable!!  Unfortunately I do not have any pictures just yet.  Then Sunday, we had a great morning at church, followed by a wonderful lunch with our minister.  Then we headed off to a great surprise party for our friend Tawnya.  It was so great to spend some time with their  family and see their little one Jackson interacting with Grace.  The last time we saw him, he was just a few weeks old and now he is 6.5 months old.  Monday, we took the holiday off to run some much needed errands and to also catch lunch and Grandma and Grandpa Myers.  And Tuesday the 22nd actually marked the 2 year anniversary of us getting our sweet baby Cambrie.
She has been so much a part of our family and I can't believe she is already two years old.  She is quite the protective pig with such a big personality.  Grace loves her though (see pictures below).  This week has just flown by because it's been packed with fun.

"I gotya!" yeah, she pulled her boot off, lol

Going for a ride!
Here's Grace showing how she can walk like a big girl behind her tractor.  She is getting much better now at pushing it by herself... was harder at first on the thick carpet there.  As you can see she gets lazy a little ways through and tries to push it on her knees before going to play basketball, hehe.  She has quite the personality... love her!!

39 Weeks Old

Today little miss Grace is 39 weeks old and smiling as much as ever.
She's had a pretty good week aside from still coughing like crazy... can't seem to kick it.  Friday she got to spend the evening with Nana, Papi, and Aunt Goober while Garrett and I went out for dinner, followed by a great time at cowboys with good friends (Thank you for babysitting!!  Love you!!).  It was a perfect date evening... dinner was wonderful and it is always nice to get back to where we first met when we can.  Saturday, Grace and I had a girls day with Allie followed by a nice evening at the house.  This evening included gun shooting, rhino riding, and dinner with friends.
Just a small comparison of size... our pig Cambrie and Grace, lol.
They love each other!!  Cambrie is actually quite protective of Grace.
Girls day; out and about with Allie...
showing my love for Cambrie in a pig cap, hehe
Sunday, daddy got to watch his sweet girl while mommy participated in the Orlando 2013 5k Color Run.  It was a ton of fun!!  Thank you Torie for putting together a wonderful team and thank you Allie for sticking by me and encouraging me to do the run.  I could not have had a better time!!
Our team, "Color for Christ"

Just to give you an idea of the number of people running... THOUSANDS!
What a fun day with some great people!!
Oh did I mention last night was the first night that Grace went to bed before mommy and daddy AND woke up after mommy and daddy?!  Yep!!  She did not get up this morning until I woke her up at 5... thank you Grace Lynn!!
Trying to get to the camera... love her blue eyes and long lashes!

38 Weeks Old

Who is 38 Weeks Old?!
Me, that's who! :)
This week has been a fairly calm week, which has been oh so nice!  I do believe Grace is starting to feel better because she has slept 4 nights out of the week (when she wasn't sleeping through the night at all before!).  She will sleep (knock on wood) from about 9 til 4:30 and it is oh so great!!  Here's to hoping that she keeps this streak up.  She is just too stinkin' cute and love her so very much!  Here are some other milestones this week:

  • She bumps her head on everything as she is starting to move around and climb more... notice the bruises in the picture above?
  • She has learned how to drink out of a straw (she's been using sippy cups, and can drink out of a regular cup if we help her hold it, but now we can add a straw to that list!)
  • She is starting to nod her head and it is too funny because it is a very firm nod, haha... wish i had it on video
  • She also has gotten to her clingy stage... she loves having mommy and daddy's attention and isn't happy if she doesn't get our full attention
Here is a picture of some of the artwork she recently completed at school... this is her Winter tunnel that she made :)
Love this girl... Thank you God for blessing us with such a little angel.  I honestly can't imagine our life without her.  I look forward to every day with her and my amazing husband that helps keep a big smile on my face and laughter in my heart <3

37 Weeks Old

Grace Lynn is starting the new year out 37 weeks old!!

This week started out like this...
Yep, baby girl had another breathing treatment and yet another ear infection... She is a trooper though!  After being on her antibiotics and her inhaler just a few days, she is already starting to become more playful and a little more herself.  However, we are still trying to build her appetite up and and she is still quite fussy at times.  You can just tell that she still is not quite 100%.  We go back to the doctor this week, and I'm hoping she gets the okay and can come back off the inhaler.  Looking at her, it does appear that she's lost a little bit of weight, but maybe it's a growth spurt too and she is just thinning out some.  Last week, she weighed in at 17lbs 4oz and she has her 9 month check up in two weeks... then we will know just where she is on the scale and how her growth is going.  I really believe this all stems from her not eating as well due to her throat and ear.  Here is our girl from this week though in some of her happier moments :)

2012 has been one great year with lots of firsts and wonderful blessings.  Here is just a look back in pictures from some of the great moments this year... ENJOY!!

Here's to another GREAT year y'all!! :)  HAPPY NEW YEAR!
