A look back...

Well... I did all those weekly pictures of our sweet Grace Lynn.  To put things into perspective, here is a large checkerboard picture of our girl from 4 days old to 1 year old (I had to break it up into 3 separate pictures, lol).  This is just crazy.  When [they] say "time flies"; [they] were not lying!  I would not have changed a thing about this last year.  Garrett and I have both learned a lot about parenting (and still are), about each other, and about our sweet girl (as her personality continues to develop).  She is a blessing for sure!!

Love this girl!!! <3
This last week, she had her well visit which turned into a sick visit with a follow-up and now with another follow-up scheduled.  She still has a respiratory infection.  She's been on  breathing treatments and antibiotics for going on two weeks now and hopefully come Monday, we will get the okay to pull her off of both of those.  She is well enough for school, etc, but still is wheezing some.  She's our little trooper!  Her weight at her 1st well visit was 18lb 10oz and came in at 28.5" long.  Her weight at her last visit just came down slightly to 18lb 4oz, but all in all the doctor said that her demeanor seemed much better and her breathing has improved some (praise God!).  Here are a couple cell phone pictures from this week.  She got to use the big-girl scale for the 1st time!!  She loves her Maggie.  She loves to swing on our hammock with daddy.

52 Weeks Old

Well the time has come; Our little girl will be a year old tomorrow!!  Hot Dog!!  Where has the time really gone?!?!  Everyone asks how long I am going to do the weekly picture; I believe I will stop this week with the 1 year mark.  I will still keep up the blog though with the different happenings and milestones, and other things going on with the Myers family.  I just will not have the typical weekly picture post with her sign and all.  I will try to cut that down to maybe monthly or who knows quite yet... so with that, here is our not-so-little girl now.
This past weekend we celebrated her birthday western style.  We did the cake smash prior to the party per photographer/mom/friend, Torie's, advice because of her most likely getting dirty (which Grace most certainly did!).  Is she not the cutest thing ever?  Torie took many other pictures and I cannot wait to see them.  Thank you so much Torie for capturing Grace's big day for us.  This is just a sneak peak few that she has already edited and posted.
After her cake smash, we cleaned her up and put her in her western birthday outfit to get ready for all the fun.  We had 10 children along with several adults to come celebrate Grace's big day with us.  She is certainly blessed (as are we!) to have such wonderful people surrounding her.  A BIG thanks goes out to my mom for helping provide decorations and some goodies, my dad for providing additional tables and chairs, Allie for providing decorations and the adorable cupcakes (home-made at that), and to Garrett for the moral support and all his help.  I could not have gotten through the wonderful and successful day without their help.  Here are some pictures of Grace throughout her big day and of some of the decorations (thank you mom for taking these pictures).  Once I get some of the ones that Torie took, I will share those :)
LC: birthday girl, stopping by watering hole for ice, riding Cambrie
RC: singing "happy birthday", getting sleepy, opening presents
Center: all tuckered out after a busy day with mommy and daddy

Watering Hole, Goodies to Go, and Animal Farm
Happy early birthday baby girl!!

51 Weeks Old

Sorry, I have been slacking this week a little, but with good reason.  Amazing Grace Lynn is 51 weeks old!!!
Grace has been sick (again) since Thursday.  She developed pretty bad ear infections along with a bad respiratory infection.  She had to be pulled out of daycare on Thursday and taken to the doctor... there he immediately decided to give her the first dose of Rocephin and said had I brought her in a day later, we may have been back in the hospital.  Friday she received her second shot of Rocephin.  Then come Saturday; I took her in and she was still having fevers, which should not occur with the amount of antibiotics she was receiving through the Rocephin.  So, she also received a breathing treatment while there, as well as the final Rocephin shot because her wheezing had not improved and her ears were still pretty bad.  She was also prescribed 3 other antibiotics, daily breathing treatments, and a probiotic to help counter the antibiotics.  Monday, Garrett took her back into the doctor and her ears look much better, her breathing has improved, and overall she is doing a lot better (Praise to God).  She has however developed a rash from one or multiple antibiotics she's been on, and therefore, that has to be monitored.  Fortunately, the fever has not returned and rash hasn't worsened; so she was able to go back to school yesterday morning for the first time in almost a week.  She is still not quite 100% herself and it was so hard to leave her because she did not want to let me go (which is very unlike her).  I know it was good for her though to interact with her little friends and to just get out of the house.  This morning she she was even more herself and more playful when I dropped her off.  I think she just needed some time to get back into the normal routine and swing of things.  Here are just a few cell phone pictures of our sweet Grace from this week.  We bought her a swing for her birthday and decided to give it to her early since she's been unable to really get out and about; plus she will not know the difference on whether she receives her gift now or later.  She loved it!!  I was so happy to see her smile because her sweet smiles have been harder to come by this last week.  The top picture is pre-swinging and her typical behavior all week (understandable).  The other three are her happy to be swinging faces :)
Garrett and I are both just thankful that she went through all this this past week and not this coming week, as we will be celebrating her big 1st birthday!! :)  Here's to her continuing improved health and that she is 100% for her big day!

50 Weeks Old

Happy 50 Weeks Old baby girl!  Here is her Easter artwork from school too :)
This week has been a crazy busy one, but looks like every week may be like that here on out for a little while.  This Friday evening we went with some of our church family to the Magic Game.  Grace really does enjoy the games!  She zonked out by the 3rd quarter though.  We also got to see our favorite dancing dad, Fred, perform and talk to him in person in the concourse   Grace loved his goofy light up glasses.  Happy that he finally got to meet Grace too!
Great seeing Fred, Grace hanging out with Papi, and Zonked out by the 3rd
Saturday morning after Grace's mommy-and-me class (which mommy and daddy both got to go to this weekend!), Grace got to experience her 1st Easter egg hunt and had a great time with Molly and Beau.  She loved picking up the eggs.  She even shared her basket with Molly because Molly didn't want much to do with her own basket :)
She had so much fun; loved seeing her smile as she hunted for eggs
After the Easter egg hunt, we headed over to Uncle Donnie and Aunt April's for an Anniversary BBQ for my Grandparents.  Happy 56 years Grandma and Papa!!  It was such a wonderful event for the two of them.  We even played the "Not-So-Newly-Wed Game" and Garrett and I won!!  Yep, we beat out my grandparents and Aunt and Uncle... Way to go Garrett!!  Grace had so much fun with her cousins, Ava, Logan, and Wyatt.  Thank you to Uncle Donnie and Aunt April for hosting.  It was so nice to get all of the kids together and watch them interact.  I really hope we can do that more often.  It was also great for me to see all of them and the family as well too!!
Happy Anniversary to Gaga and Papa!!
Riding in the trailer, Petting the bunny, All the cousins together,
Flying with Papi, and riding the roller coaster with Ava
Then Sunday, we had our resurrection service at Church, followed by lunch with the family.  The service was absolutely beautiful and always nice to also see some old familiar faces that came back around and some new faces!
Loves to worship, After her Aunt Goober's special performance,
Family picture on Easter, hanging out with her Nana
Later Sunday evening, Garrett's family came over to visit with us for a little while also.  We had a great time with them!
Playing with her Aunt Sam, and Swinging with her Aunt
So, talk about a busy weekend, but all was wonderful and we truly did enjoy every minute.  Here's to yet another busy week ahead... counting my blessings and just trying to stay stress free in the hectic busy life right now, remembering all that we really have to be thankful for.
