Cambrie's Big Day

Well, bright and early this morning Garrett and I had to take our little Cambrie to the vet to finally get her "fixed."  I don't think she really knew what was in store for her, but she was a trooper.  She does great in car rides; so the ride there was no big deal (except that she was not allowed to eat from midnight this morning until after the surgery).  So, she was a little hungry to say the least.

Originally the vet told us that they'd have to keep her overnight with them and we'd have to get her tomorrow.  Well, Cambrie had other plans.  She pulled through the surgery without a hitch.  They said that she did phenomenal and had no issues and was the best patient of the day by far.  So.... we got to come get her after work since she did so well and was coming out of it great!

On the way home she definitely was not quite her self.  She didn't know what to think and I'm sure was in a little pain.  She is still doped up on medicine as I type and still very sluggish in her movement.  Luckily we were able to get her some food as soon as we got home (which she hate most of, but still not her normal amount).  Then she immediately curled up under her favorite bear's shirt.

As you can see, she still has sleepers on her eyes and just looks exhausted.  By time I wrote this blog she has fallen asleep, but hopefully will be better tomorrow after some rest.  We'll still have to keep an eye on her and make sure she does no running or jumping... so no free reign for her for a little while anyway.  I'm just so happy she gets to be home tonight and not stay overnight with the vet.
